It is especially helpful for emergency, time critical work to include a voice number with your email.

Unlike many voice services, we do not have a set fee structure for finished minutes, per word or otherwise. This is by design. Our experience has shown that each clients work is unique, with special concerns which do not fit well into a one price fits all fee structure. Therefore, we instead quote on a per job basis which affords YOU, the client, the best work for the best value.

We can provide station ID packages, 30, 60 second radio/TV spots; telephony prompts as well as messages on hold. We also have done extensive work with longer forms such as industrial service tutorials, infomercial audio and audio books both fiction and non-fiction.

Most any project that requires either character voices or just a straight read; will be done to your satisfaction or we'll re-do it until you are completely satisfied!

Quotes are based on the following criteria:

  • 1. Readability of script
  • Difficult words, elisions; most of which can be avoided by reading copy aloud.
  • Good print copy often does not translate to good spoken copy.
  • 2. Length of finished product
  • 35 to 40 words per minute is about right.
  • While it is possible to read at 70 to 80 words a minute, it isn't advisable, or particularly listenable, except for effect.
  • 3. Time necessary to complete the job

Here's what we will need to begin your project:

1. Readable copy
Preferably double or triple spaced copy. This can be in MS Word .doc format or simple .txt format or .pdf sent as an email to don@donsvoice.com; or, if short enough, copied and pasted into our contact form and sent.

2. Caveats
If you need copy written; all we'll need is details you want included along with a concept you want followed. We'll return proposed copy for approval before going to work on your message/spot.

Minor editing is included at no additional charge.

  • A. No, only character voices.
